Dear Friends, Family and Community Members,

With mixed emotions, we want to let you know that this year will be the last chance to skate, register as a team, rink sponsor or make a donation to the 3 on 3 Hockey Jamboree.  After 15 wonderful years, we have made the bittersweet decision to bring the Gerard Jacobs 3 on 3 Hockey Jamboree to a close.
What started as a way to honor Gerard’s memory grew into something so much bigger – a beautiful tradition of generosity, kindness, and community.  Because of all of you, we have been able to support deserving students and keep Gerard’s spirit alive in a way that truly made a difference.
We are beyond grateful for every player, every donation, every volunteer, every sponsor and every person who showed up year after year.  Your support has meant more to us than we can ever fully express.
While this chapter is ending, the impact of what we’ve built together will continue for years to come through the lives of the students who received these scholarships.
From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for 15 amazing years and we hope to see you this year on Saturday April 25 at The Hallenborg.

With love and gratitude,
The Jacobs Family
George “Jake”, Sue, Vinny & Frank

That said, get those skates sharpened!!  It’s hard to believe that it’s time to plan for another Jamboree! Please “Save the Date” and get ready for another day of Friendship, Hockey, Raffles, Food and most importantly, remembering Gerard. Registration is open!

If you have an item to donate or wish to make a donation, please contact one of our committee members directly or through our website www.gerardjacobshockeyjamboree.com  If easier, items can be mailed to S. Wilde, 10 Dean Rd, York, ME 03909. Any proceeds will go directly to the Gerard Jacobs Scholarship Fund.

Please accept our most heartfelt appreciation to you all who have been part of this through the years.

Sincerely,

George (“Jake”), Sue, Vinnie, Franklin and the entire Committee

Anyone interested in applying for a scholarship, the window for this year is Mar 1-23.
Visit Billerica Dollars for Scholars for more information.

The Gerard J. Jacobs Hockey Jamboree was established as a day for friends and family to come together and remember Gerard.  The "backyard style" Jamboree is a simple format that promotes laughter and friendship, two of the many things that were important to Gerard.

Proceeds from the Jamboree have been used to support the Gerard J. Jacobs Memorial Scholarship and Charitable Trust Fund that were established in memory of Gerard.  Scholarships are awarded to Billerica and Shawsheen Tech students that are attending college or pursuing a trade.  We have also been able to purchase and donate a new, state of the art scoreboard/time clock for the Hallenborg Rink at Billerica High, benefiting players from all over the region.

We hope you can join us for a day of hockey, raffles, food and fun.

With Love, The Jacobs Family and Friends of Gerard

Please let us know if you are interested in making a raffle prize donation.  We are able to accept until April 20th.

Other than players, we are consistently asked what else is needed.

Raffle items, sponsors and food donations (meatballs, chili, etc) are always welcomed.

We also need volunteers to help out rinkside.
